A Brief Profile Of Dr. Mohammed Azam Ali

“The Comedy King of  South Indian Telugu Cinema”

Family Life:

Mohammed Azam Ali (Known as Ali) is a symbol of Laugh and person with heart. Born in the historical place of Rajamahendravaram (now known as Rajahmundry), Andhra Pradesh on 10^th October, 1968.

Life was his FIRST Guru of acting and has developed a passion for acting since childhood. He has born in a poor family to Mr. Basha and Mrs. Zaithoon. Though his father was financially poor, who is a tailor by profession but technically very strong as he was a specialist in stitching traditional dresses in a very short time. People used to wait for days to give their clothes to him for stitching. Inspite of being so busy, he was never commercial. Ali’s mother is a very strong believer of God and is a strong woman who led the family of 5 daughters and 2 sons. She is still the driving force for Mr.Ali who is addressed as a family member by lakhs of Telugu people.

Ali married Mrs. Zubeda Sultana Begum, who is from Mandapeta on 23^rd January, 1994. He is blessed with 2 daughters and a son. His brother Mr. Khayum is also a film Artiste.

Career:

Laugh is the best medicine. Ali followed the same from his childhood. His passion for acting made him perform Mimicry shows on stages and functions from a very early age, Spotted by the leading Musician with his own Musical troop Mr. Jith Mohan Mitra. Ali performed hundreds of functions in and around Rajahmundry during his early age.

PUNADIRALLU is his first ever film and since then he has acted nearly 945 movies till date in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.

The famous Tamil director Mr.Bharat Raja spotted him for a lovely character with Biggest Block Buster youthful love entertainer “ Seethakoka Chiluka. “

Winning Awards is a routine activity for Mr. Ali. He has won more than 1500 awards including most prestigious Nandi, Film fare, Delhi Telugu Academy etc.

He has won many awards in foreign soil also in places like Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai, Abudabi, Bahrain, Muscat, USA, Australia, New Zealand etc.

Charity Activities:

Ali does not have Educational Background or financial background. Still he studied the various phases of life and he is having a strong public background in the form of FANS who love him and treat him as a family member. So Ali started to repay back the society by starting a trust “BASHA CHARITABLE TRUST” in 2010 in the memory of his late father, Mr. Basha.

He does not collect any donations from outside but divert his own hard earned earnings to the activities of “BASHA CHARITABLE TRUST.”

The Trust conducts the following activities:

Ø  Continuous drinking water supply to all people in the main road of Rajahmundry.

Ø  Donating Tricycles, Artificial limbs to the physically challenged people purely on the basis of need.

Ø  Sponsoring the fees, Books, Exam fees, Hostel needs of 5 poor students every year.

Ø  Provided financial assistance to school for deaf and dumb.

He has contributed nearly ` 21 Lakhs for various charity activities till date.

He is just not confined to the silver screen but also into the “Small Screen” to reach crores of audience every day.

He has given nearly 200 stage appearances both in India and Outside India till date. He does not charge any remuneration for the same but requests the organizations to conduct some charity event for the benefit of poor students or needy.

This shows the simplicity and philanthropist nature of Mr. Ali.
