Professional Profile Of "Mifarete Laze" Ambassador of Albanian Culture

Mifarete Laze (Vekshari) was born in Shkodra, Albania, on 20th 1959 in a family with early patriotic traditions. She passed her childhood in Shkodra and grew up there. She was brought up in Shkoder with the traditions of the area.

Mifarete is a niece from Saranda. Her parents were born in Konispol and Pandaleimon, Saranda. After many vicissitudes of that time, persecuted by the former communist dictatorship, her family sets in Shkodra where the three children were born.
She received the elementary and secondary education in Shkodra. There began also her artistic activity since in the third grade. Firstly, she participated in the festival of primary school pupils and later with the pioneers, the children of the secondary school. She started with the duet “Beni, Mira and the jam”. This way started her artistic life.
Mifarete often says that ” I don’t know how I ended on the stage, I just wanted to sing and my caring father made my wish come true.”
Mifarete Laze in the age of childhood participated in 7 local festivals of Shkodra and in 7 national festivals for children. She won some prices in these competitions.
After finishing the secondary education, she finished the artistic high school “Prenk Jakova” in Shkodra. During this time, she participated in the festivals of the civic song of Shkodra where she won the first prize with the composition of Zef Çoba and after that came other different prizes. All in all, in the song activities in Shkodra she counts seven prizes: two first prizes, three second prizes and two third prizes,
Mifarete Laze has been activated during the years 1970-90 in the activities of the Youth Club “The heroes of Vig”, ”The Student’, “Theatre Migjeni“, “Kino worker“, “The house of Culture of Shkodra”, etc. Meanwhile, she participated in three editions of the folkloric festival in Gjirokastra.
In 1980-1984, Mifarete Laze finished her studies in the Faculty of Literature in the University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi”.
In 1980 she participated for the first time in the Festival of RTSH where she is esteemed with the first prize with the song “Illegal friends’ and the third prize with the song “Under the olive coronal”.
LMifarete aze came as an innovation in the slow Albanian music and in those years, even though it was not allowed by the communist censorship, the people called her Mirel Mathieu of Albania.
This way, Mifarete Laze started her way as a highly esteemed and valued singer. In that period she won 13 prizes. She was present in the Festivals of the Albanian Radio Television for 14 years  row. And she was one of the favorite singers of the Albanian public.
Mifarete Laze later interpreted also in other editions of the Albanian radio-televisions such as in “Songs of the Season”, “The golden Microphone”, “Magic Song” , “100 Songs of the Century”. She has participated continuously as a guest of honor also in different activities of the folk song in different cities, etc.
Mifarete Laze has represented the Albanian culture with her voice inside and outside Albania, invited as participant in the activities of the State Ensemble such as: in Italy, France, Spain, Turkey, Greece, etc.
In her career in different festivals, Mifarete counts 21 prizes among the best artists of the Shkoder’s songs and all over the country. The civic folk song of Shkodra and the Cham songs, songs of the origin of her parents, of Chameria, such as the song “I love Chameria” grew even more the value of this special voice of the Albanian music.
Mifarete Laze seems younger than ever even today with her golden voice. This singer of Shkodra is now an icon of the Albanian music and has reaped endless success in different stages inside and outside Albania.

What makes the singer Mifarete Laze special even nowadays in the eyes of the public is not only the longevity on stage, but above all the pure conservation with fanaticism of the real values of the Albanian song with which she never made business. She never misused the values of the Albanian song for personal profits like some other singers who have corrupted such rare values.
During her artistic career, Mifarete Laze has been honored with many titles and prizes, such as: the Prize “Çesk Zadeja”, the Prize of Career, Ambassador of Peace, the title “The Honor of the Albanian Song”. She also has been decorated with the title “Naim Frashëri”, by the President of the Republic of Albania, Alfred Moisiu.
Mifarete Laze has given more than 50 concerts and has given all the earnings from these concerts as donations for Kosovo.
Mifarete Laze is not only a distinguished artist, but also a peace missionary. She has given a lot of help for the people with economic difficulties. As a charitable missionary she has been committed to the international lobbying organization Diplomatic Mission Peace and Prosperity, part of UN. Mifarete Laze is a honorary advisor of this mission that operates in the Balkans and all over the world for peace and prosperity.

Professional Profile Of Petro Koçi, The Elected Deputy In Albanian Parliament

 Distinguished Politician and Peace Missionary

Petro Koçi was born in Vlora, Albania, on 15^th February 1961, in a family with patriotic traditions whose roots are found in the region of Myzeqe and in the district of  Vlora. His grandfather and his uncle participated in the National Liberation Anti-fascist War. His parents were people of labor and books. Petro Koçi has inherited from his parents a very rich library, also thanks to his passion for books.

Petro Koçi grew up and was educated in Fier. He received the elementary and secondary education in the school “Pinallopi Pirro” in Fier.
After this, he won the competition to attend the High School of Foreign Languages “Asim Vokshi” in Tirana and subsequently the University of Tirana, the Faculty of History- Philology.  His social and educational training holds the seal of the cities of Fier and Tirana.
The economic conditions forced him to work for 4 years in the United High School Kala of Doda in Dibër where he taught English to the children and youth of that area. There, he was distinguished for his professional passion and social protagonism. The inhabitants of Kala of Doda even nowadays still retain a special respect for his work, behavior and social relationships with the intellectuals and the simple people of the area.
Petro Koçi returned in Fier in 1989 and continues the professional career in the Industrial High School in Fier.
The year 1991 marked a turn in his life. He is elected Chairman of the Socialist Party in Fier and leads the socialists of this district with many dissenter political battles from 1991 to 1997. He is distinguished for initiative and democratic citizen profile. He was elected member of the Municipal Council Fier in 1992-1996 and member of the Council of the District Fier in 1996-1997.
He has conducted the pacific protests of Fier against the financial pyramids in the spring of 1997.
He is elected deputy with direct voting in 3 legislatures in row in Fier, from 1997 to 2009.
During this period, he was distinguished for his determination and initiatives against the corruption and modernization of the interior democracy in the Albanian Socialist Party.
Petro Koçi has governed the Ministry of Public Order in a difficult period, from 1998 to 1999, when he managed with patriotic spirit and political devotion the crisis of public order that the severe incidents of 14 September 1998 and the ethnic cleansing of Kosovo undertaken by the Milosevic regime brought.
The governance with clean hands and the unbreakable legal discipline were the characteristics of his unremitting work in head of the department. He is an honorary member of the Association of Veterans of UCK.
He has been elected twice Organizational Secretary of ASP in 1997-1998 and 1999-2002. During that period, the organizational operation of ASP has been in high levels by guaranteeing democratic respiration of the party and control relationships of citizens over the governance.
Inside of ASP, Petro Koçi was the initiator and co-leader of the Movement for Catharsis in 2001-2002 and of the Movement for Institutional Politics in 2007-2008.
As a lawmaker, he was very active and principled. He has been part of Parliamentary Commissions of Security (in 2005-2008 he was Vice-chairman) and Foreign Policy. In the Legislature 2005-2009 he was among the 10 most active speakers in the Parliament of Albania.
He has chaired the Permanent Delegation of the Parliament of Albania in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in 2001-2005.
He is divided from the Socialist Party only one day after her voting for the constitutional changes of 21^st April 2008, proposed by the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, changes that focused the power in the hands of the Prime Minister and ruined the principle of control between the constitutional powers.
Since that year until now, he leads as Chairman of PSV9, a party in coalition with the left parties of political spectrum in Albania.
Petro Koçi has kept tens of speeches, has given tens of television interviews and has published many articles in the written press.
He has published two books in journalism: “Freedom is a naught” and “Citizen like you!”
Petro Koçi as an erudite intellectual and with a noble and charitable heart has helped a lot the social classes in need. So, he is among the most committed peace missionaries in the International Lobbying Organization Diplomatic Mission Peace and Prosperity, part of UN. He is an honorary advisor of this mission that operates in the Balkans and all over the World for peace and prosperity in help of the countries under development, according to the principles of the American Democracy.

Makbule Çeço – Peace Missionary with a brilliant career

Makbule Xhelo Çeço was born in 21st July 1948 in Durrës, Albania, in a family with early patriotic traditions in the service of Albanian nation. She is an Albanian citizen.

Makbule Çeço finished the elementary and secondary school in Tirana, respectively in the schools “Kosova” and “Lidhja e Prizrenit”.

In 1966 Makbule Çeço finished the general high school in the schools “Sami Frashëri” and “Kongresi i Përmetit” in Tirana, Albania.

In 1966 she started the studied in the Faculty of Political-Legal Sciences in the University of Tirana and graduated in 1970 as “Worker of Political Sciences”.

In 1970 Makbule Çeço started working as a pedagogue in the Faculty of Political-Legal Sciences in the University of Tirana, Albania.

In 1989 she was appointed as Directress of Higher Education Department in the Ministry of Education of the Albanian state and was in this post until 1992.

From 1996 to 1997 she was a member of the Municipal Council beside the Town Hall of Tirana.

In 1997 she worked as external pedagogue if the Faculty of Law in the University of Tirana.

In 1997 Makbule Çeço was appointed Prefect of Tirana.

From 1999 to 2001 Makbule Çeço carried out the post of Deputy Prime-Minister and Minister of Labor and Social Issues of Albania.

In 2001 she took the post of the Vice Speaker of the Parliament  of Albania.

From 2005 she is an external pedagogue in the master programs in the Faculty of Law in the University of Tirana.

Makbule Çeço, from 2008, is also pedagogue and dean in the Faculty of Law, in the University “Justicia” in Tirana.

In 1990 Makbule Çeço she started a second faculty, the Faculty of Law and in 1992 she graduated as lawyer in this faculty.

Makbule Çeço, during her professional career, has received many  titles and scientific degrees. In 1983 she received the title “Candidate of Sciences”. In 1987 she received the title “Docent”. In 1999 the title “Candidate of Sciences” was converted in the Degree “Doctor of Sciences”.

Makbule Çeço has also carried out many seminars and different training and qualification courses in the field of education, in the field public services and local government, in the field of gender problems, for the participation of women in politics, in the field of legislation, etc. She has been trained inside and outside of Albania, in different countries all over the world. She has graduated “For war against terrorism” in the centre “Marshal”, Garmish, Germany, etc.

Makbule Çeço has also been engaged in different publications. She has published many scientific articles, school texts, papers and lectures. She has treated these also in national and international scientific, social, political activities, etc.

Makbule Çeço, during her whole professional and political career has been distinguished as a personality with a humanitarian spirit and has given big contributions to help the communities, the nongovernmental organizations in support of people in need.

So, she has had a wide activity as peace missionary.

Makbule Çeço, as a peace missionary, has been committed to the international lobbying organization Diplomatic Mission Peace and Prosperity, part of UN.

She is a honorary advisor of this mission that operates for peace and prosperity in the Balkans and all over the world.

Leena Heiman  was born in South America, Colombia. She developed her interest in the prosperity of the community and in working towards improving the lives of the less fortunate.  As a result of the passing away of her father at a young age, she experienced many challenges which developed her strong character, compassion, sense of independence and faith.  All which attribute to her success.

           In 2000 Leena moved to The United States of America and became a citizen. Consequently she is in constant contact with an international network of brokers and industry leaders. Leena has always felt the need to give back, to get involved, and interact with various organization mostly devoted to bettering the lives of children with special needs. She has also supported organizations dedicated to fight the war against HIV and spread awareness.

Jorge Enrique Hernández.
