The Global family of The American University USA & The United Nations University For Global Peace USA & Groups Of Peace Universities in 120 Countries recently experienced a moment that none of us will ever forget.
Our Chairman, Dr. Madhu Krishan, during his Global Peace Mission Journey From USA to Africa , South Asia, had just completed an important humanitarian mission across Africa, sharing a message of peace, education, and global unity. Dr. Krishan also awarded prestigious Awards to the Hon'ble Minister of Commerce ,Industry Cooperative as well to the Hon'ble Minister of Land ,Housing & Urban Development in Uganda ( For Detail News Click here & also Click here . Before returning to the Headquarters in the United States, he made a brief stop in India for International Social Justice event in South India for three days event.
But in the early hours of 25 February 2026, at around 1:30 AM, everything suddenly changed.
Dr. Krishan suffered a massive heart attack and was immediately rushed to Manipal Hospital.
Inside the Cardiac Cath Lab, the situation quickly turned critical. A Code Blue was declared three times.
For nearly 20 intense minutes, doctors fought to bring him back. CPR was administered, life-support systems were activated, and the medical team headed by Dr. Ananad Shenoy battled relentlessly against time. The efforts of all the team are highly appreciated. He was in the hospital for more than two weeks.
In that moment… the world prayed. Our thanks with gratitude to Our Senior most International Governor & Vice Chancellor H.E. Prof. Dr. Sir. Lakshman Madhurasinghe , His Wife Mrs. Charmaine Madhurasinghe, our Ambassadors H.E. Bishop Dr. Jerome Fernando, Our Senior Governors & Senate members from USS H.E. Dr. Melody Rudd , H.E. Bishop Dr. Sonny Rudd , Apostle Tigi George , H.E. Amb. Dr. Carol & her team Rev. Nigel H.E. Pastor Ram Babu & his team & many others from all Continents.
By what can only be described as God’s grace, supported by the prayers of thousands and the extraordinary efforts of the doctors and nurses, a miracle happened.
Dr. Madhu Krishan came back after brady cardiac arrest in the Cath Lab.
Dr. Anand R Shenoy's smiling face with comforting & encouraging words during his daily visit to Dr. Krishan everyday sharp between 6.30 AM to 6.45 AM motivated him & encouraged his recovering journey . Our head quarter has decided to honour Dr. Anand R Shenoy with a very Prestigious Award from our United Nations University USA on a suitable Event in USA .
Today, he is under cardio physiotherapy, recovering well, walking again, and steadily regaining his strength.
What moved everyone around him most were his very first words after recovery: “The Peace Mission must continue. We still have work to do for peace and humanity in all 230 Countries, to reach to all unreach with the Gospel of Peace .”
This moment reminds us that true leaders are not defined by power or position, but by purpose, courage, and faith.

This was more than a medical recovery.
It was a powerful reminder that a life devoted to serving humanity is strengthened by faith, compassion, and collective goodwill.
