In a landmark move to expand global academic collaboration, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University (DDUGU), under the visionary leadership of its Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Poonam Tandon, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the American University for Global Peace (AUGP), USA & United Nations University For Global Peace (UNUGP), USA.

The prestigious event took place at Panchsheel Balak College, Noida, in the esteemed presence of Principal H.E. Amb. Dr. Neeraj Tandan. Distinguished global dignitaries graced the occasion, including His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Mark Burns (Advisor to the Honorable President Donald Trump), Her Excellency Ambassador Dr. Yecenia (Jessy) Sanchez, Hon'ble Judge Mr. Sunil Singh, senior IAS officers Mr. Brijender Goal and Mr. Himanshu, and other notable personalities such as Dr. Dinesh Kapoor, Dr. Archana, H.E. Amb. Prof. Dr. Poonam Rani Tandan, H.E. Amb. Pawan Patel, H.E. Amb. Manish Mehra, Mr. Praveen Mithal, Mrs. Suman Parikh, Dr. Kakun Pathak and Dr. Ramwant Gupta, Director of the International Cell at DDUGU. International VIPs from Germany, Russia, the USA, Switzerland, and Africa also participated,

marking a truly global gathering.

A Grand Recognition of Excellence

The event was also a platform to honor exceptional leaders.  Hon'ble Judge Mr. Sunil Singh was recognized with the Best Nation Builder Award. Several other dignitaries, including H.E. Amb. Dr. Mukesh Kumar Jain, H.E. Amb. Dr. Virender Singh,

Dr. Ramwanth Gupta,Dr. Aditya Shivhare,Dr. Rakesh Kumar Meena,Dr. Harpreet Kaur Mr. Leela Mohan, Mr. Mark, Mr. Jose Charles Martin, and Mr. Siva, were honored with Awards of Excellence for their contributions to global peace and humanitarian efforts.

Her Excellency Ambassador Dr. Yecenia (Jessy) Sanchez received the Human Excellence Golden Award, along with accolades such as the Global Peace Ambassador Certificate of Excellence & Doctorate (Honoris Causa).

AUGP USA, operating in 126 countries, is a globally recognized institution specializing in peace and conflict studies. Led by its esteemed Chairman and Chief Rector, His Eminence Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan, AUGP USA has been honored worldwide for its contributions to global peace. Notably:

Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan was the first Indian to receive the prestigious "US President’s Lifetime Achievement Award" from then-President Barack Obama for his peace education and humanitarian work across 80 countries.

His contributions have been recognized in over 70 countries, with his bronze statue installed in the European Historical Museum in 2014.

AUGP USA has previously signed MoUs with 70 Prime Ministers from 70 countries, further solidifying its global reach.

The institution received high praise in November 2024 from the Office of President-Elect Donald Trump for its commitment to fostering peace worldwide.

Honoring India's Leadership on the Global Stage

Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan proudly announced that he had the honor of presenting the ATAL GLOBAL PEACE NOBEL AWARD to Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a tribute to former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth commemoration. A Vision for the Future

Through this historic MoU, DDUGU and AUGP USA aim to bridge academic and research gaps by integrating international collaboration into university curricula. This partnership marks a significant milestone in DDUGU’s global journey, reinforcing its commitment to academic excellence and impactful international cooperation.

His Eminence Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan also appreciated Dr. Dinesh Kapoor & Dr. Archana jii the Chairman and CEO of Fitness World for their remarkable works to build the Nation through Sports . He announced that AUGP USA in collaboration with the Fitness World will launch a special Program of ," Sports for Global Peace For Prosperity " and first Cricket Legue will be launched soon in Dubai and in other Countries. Not only cricket but indigenous sports of India and other countries will also be given platform for Holistic Wellness to build Nations for Peace & Prosperity.

Adding to the momentous occasion, a book titled “Youth Empowerment for Nation Building”, authored by H.E. Amb. Dr. Neeraj Tandan and co-authored

by His Eminence Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan, was inaugurated. This book will be presented to global leaders, including the President of the USA, the Prime Minister of India, and various international libraries.
